In Loving, In Loss

Stop to sit, explore or hang a chime in this participatory sculpture by artist Olivia Mulvey Morawiecki, commissioned by The Compassion Museum.

Now on view at Minnesota Zen Meditation Center garden. Open to the public.

This moving piece explores the profound experience of loss and grief, honoring it as an inevitable and universal part of life. It invites us to reflect on love, memory, and our connections, awakening a deep sense of compassion for ourselves and others who have been touched by love and loss.

You are warmly invited to visit the sculpture and sit and walk amongst the wind chimes—each one representing a personal story.

We’re honored to be working with our parnters, MZMC, as they host In Loving, In Loss.

If you’d like to contribute and honor a loss or loved one, we would be honored to hang a chime on your behalf. Simply email info@mnzencenter.org with the name of the person you wish to remember, or a few meaningful words and they will add a chime in your honor. You may also add a chime in person when visiting the sculpture.

If you would like to bring this sculpture to your community, visit our partner page or contact us. We’d be delighted to work with you.
